Solver FAQ
Which puzzles does the solver support?
2x2, 3x3, 4x4, and Pyraminx. Select your puzzle first, then paint the stickers on the net to match your physical puzzle exactly.
Is my cube's data uploaded anywhere?
No. Every calculation runs locally in your browser - nothing about your puzzle or its colors is sent to a server.
Why does the solver say my input is invalid?
Each color must appear the correct number of times for a physically possible puzzle (for example, 9 stickers per color on a solved 3x3 face count). Double-check every sticker against your physical cube, especially edge and corner pieces that are easy to mix up.
Should I use the solver instead of learning to solve myself?
The solver is best used to check your work or get unstuck mid-solve while you're still learning - see the Beginner Method to actually learn the skill rather than relying on lookups long-term.
